Crabapple Market Welcomes the Milton Historical Society!

Crabapple Market is pleased to welcome the Milton Historical Society. The Society is located at 12670 Crabapple Road, Suite105 behind the new Power Up Pilates. When the installation is completed in a few weeks, the Society headquarters will serve as a meeting place and historical museum. The organization was established in 2018 by a group of local history lovers and is managed by a very active and involved board of directors.

Society President Bill Lusk says, “We seek to engage the community in our efforts to tell the Milton story. We have a rich history, but it is not well known up to now. We will collect, preserve, interpret and promote our unique story for the benefit of our citizens and future generations.”

The Society’s first project was the preparation and installation of 28 historical markers throughout the city with the enthusiastic support of the City of Milton. The program will be continued in 2019. A series of monthly presentations on historical topics has begun at the Milton Library. Residents who wish to donate historic documents, photos and artifacts should contact the Society at miltonhistoricalsociety@gmail.com or 678-458-4208. Their website is www.miltongahistoricalsociety.com.

The Society welcomes individuals and organizations from near and far who would like to join their love of history either by volunteering or by becoming members.

Crabapple Market represents our Crabapple Community.  It’s the story of Mom and Pop Businesses.  It’s the story of places to meet family and friends.  It’s a collection of shops, restaurants, and residential that are connected by walkways and trails.

It’s timeless architecture.  It’s Community.

It starts at our Crabapple Green, a place to toss a baseball, throw a Frisbee, or just get lost in a book.  From there, it’s all about our heartbeat - our businesses and our residents.  It’s about walking or riding a bike into town.  It’s about a simpler way of life.  It’s about Community.

We invite you to be a part of Crabapple Market.
